Red eyed and early birds

Have decided not to be as idle as I have been. Andy wanted to know the date of the Small Red eyed Damselfly on my garden pond, which was 12th June.
On Saturday with Rob and Andy I jokingly identified a flock of eight or nine Cormorants flying east off Gore Point as Brent Geese. Unlikely as it sounds, three Brent Geese did fly into the Wash off Gore point, this morning at high tide. Certainly my earliest record ever ( or is it latest ).
Also my first Arctic Skua for the year, yesterday morning on the shore at Gore Point. A dark phase adult.

  1. Glad to have you back Robin! We had a Brent over Thornham Marsh today & Saturday evening I had two Arctic Skuas (pale & dark phase) over the grazing marsh whilst Phil had two dark phases off Gore Point.
