The butterflies were very active in the sun today with lots of flowers to choose from - Carline Thistle, Large Thyme, Small Scabious, Lady's Bedstraw and lots of Chalk Knapweed on the valley floor. There were about 6 male Chalk-hill Blues as well as a couple of Clouded Yellows and a Painted Lady. At times when the sun went behind the clouds the butterflies settled for a bit longer and allowed me to take some better photos than on Tuesday.
