A December Natterjack with a appetite!

1st December 2018

A very mild evening at Holme (11 degrees) sent me out looking for a December natterjack toad. A walk round The Firs car park soon found one, and was clearly very hungry, taking on a large lobworm.

I took a few shots of it as it was starting it's meal, but left it in peace to walk further up the track. On returning ten minutes later it looked like a truce had been called, with a fed up looking natterjack and a worm gloating nearby.
