Despite zero visibility first thing this morning Gary, Dave & I braved the cliffs and for our efforts we were rewarded with a steady passage of Chaffinch and by the end of the hour and a half stint we'd recorded over 500 south.
Fog continued to play havoc and eventually WeBS got postponed which meant I could spend the day birding. Chris relocated yesterdays Yellow-browed Warbler in the NOA car park whilst a visiting birder found another in the Forestry (Bluethroat Pool). Andy picked up an Osprey flying south over the car park, sea watching produced Slavonian Grebe, Pomarine Skua, 2+ Little Gulls and an Arctic Skua whilst 10 Jays and 3 Mistle Thrush were in the Pines.
After lunch Andy and I birded Old Hunstanton Dunes and then finished off at the Cliffs. There was a Wheatear in the Dunes and 9 Mistle Thrush in the arable towards the eastern edge of the village. Off the Cliffs we saw 3 more Little Gulls.
